John Tucker wrote a piece for ‘BBeye’ in British Birds in 2021 extolling the virtues and values of examining phenological and indeed all past records stored in individual county literatures, using Shropshire’s Histo as an example. The author received just one query enquiring about what might be involved in such a county facility and Histo remains unique.
