Bill Edwards carried out this CBC survey on the Old Racecourse near Oswestry over 37 years from 1964 to 2000, in the early years assisted by Peter Start. It is the equal eighth longest-running CBC data set in the country (of 1,576 plots) and the longest in the West Midlands (John Marchant, pers. comm.). Along with the summary data sheet the study tracks the changes in bird populations as the site developed from open ground to patchy woodland. It may be published in a future SBR.
