Mark Lawley’s book deals with the entire Marches area, including Shropshire, and in considerable detail with the people involved in biological recording since its inception, many in the 18th century.  In those early stages there were a limited number of people and families involved in the subject, and the book examines the many cases in which those families inter-married, besides detailing their biological discoveries.
